MOR Design Collection Launch Event 2022

Last week, we held a 3-day event where we had the pleasure to pre-launch MOR Design’s new collection of furniture, lighting, and objects.

At this event we gathered our team of designers, specialized press, as well as suppliers and clients on an intimate experience, and we couldn't be happier with the feedback: "It feels like home” was among the comments we heard the most, and we couldn’t feel prouder!

We invite you to take a virtual tour through the place we called home during these 3 days.

ALLAY chair, by Daniel Schofield

Based on a deep-rooted sense of minimalism and emphasis on long lasting design, Daniel Schofield designed the ALLAY for MOR, a chair with a calming and pleasing presence.

“I wanted to create a chair that had a sense of familiarity, and for people to feel comfortable with it quickly. Something that has a quiet confidence and a soothing presence. To achieve this I set out to design the archetypal lounge chair, but reduce it down to as few lines as possible.- Daniel Schofield

This unique piece, available in ash or oak, was introduced in a private event at our showroom, at Lxfactory, in Lisbon, on the 25th of November with the presence of some of our designers and business partners.

Openhouse Issue 14

MOR Design was featured for the first time on Openhouse Magazine Issue 14, with the DOME lamp, designed by Pedro Sottomayor.

The DOME is a minimal marble lamp whose design aims to underline the beauty and elegance of the raw material. It is shaped like a very slim dome, carved into existence from a single block of marble.

Since each marble block is unique, each lamp appearance may vary from hundreds of possible natural designs and colours. For this reason, this powerful lamp easily stands out when turned off.

FRONT desk at the Prime Minister's office

FRONT desk has been elected by António Costa, Portuguese Prime Minister to be his work desk at the Official Residence.

FRONT desk, a creation by Pedro Sottomayor, is defined by an elegant silhouette and strong minimalistic lines, which makes it ideal for office, home or reception areas.

Its clean look, achieved by using the drawers almost concealed and as a part of the desk’ s structure, draws the attention to all the fine materials used to build it.
