Touched Down in the City of Light: MOR Design’s Paris Debut
We’re excited to share that MOR design recently made its debut in Paris, marking a significant milestone in our international journey. In collaboration with AICEP - the Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency, we participated in the "Made in Portugal, Naturally" exhibition during Paris Design Week, one of Europe’s most prestigious design events, held from September 5th to 14th at the renowned Galerie Joseph in Le Marais. This exhibition was a celebration of Portugal’s unique blend of tradition and innovation, and we’re proud to have been part of it.
At this event, we showcased three of our most cherished pieces: the DOME lamp, the LISBOA lounge chair, and the PEDRA side table. Curated by interior designer Margarida Moura Simão, the exhibition brought together over 50 Portuguese brands, creating a space that embodied the rich Portuguese lifestyle—both local and cosmopolitan, sophisticated and accessible. This event highlighted the quality, innovation, and beauty of Portuguese design, attracting both design enthusiasts and a wider audience.
In addition to our participation at Paris Design Week, we celebrated a new partnership with the Vesco&Co showroom. On September 19th, we hosted the "Première Presentation MOR chez Vesco&Co", an exclusive cocktail event marking the beginning of an exciting collaboration. The event, led by Charlotte Vescovi, our representative in France, allowed guests to experience MOR Design up close in a setting that exuded elegance and warmth. We’re thrilled with the positive response from attendees, who had the opportunity to see our pieces from a fresh perspective.
Our expansion into France is a proud achievement for all of us at MOR Design. We’ve always believed that collaboration is key to our creative process, bringing together a multitude of perspectives to create something truly unique. As our creative director, Pedro Sottomayor, says, “it’s the multitude of opinions, visions, perspectives, and layers that creates healthy ecosystems.” This philosophy is at the heart of every MOR piece, designed not only to serve a function but to inspire and enhance modern spaces.
This is just the beginning, and we look forward to connecting with new audiences who appreciate our blend of tradition and innovation.
