Materials Care Guide
Learn more about how to make your piece last for life, always looking new.
Take care of the pieces that carry your best moments.

Wood
MOR seals its veneers with a high-quality finish. For this reason, to clean solid wood and veneered surfaces, we recommend using a soft, slightly damp cloth, with a mild detergent in the case of stubborn dirt.
Before using any cleaning product, you should test it on an inconspicuous spot. Please follow the cleaning product manufacturer’s instructions and contact a professional cleaning company in case of stubborn dirt or stains.
To avoid stains and other damage, liquids should be wiped away immediately. Wet surfaces should be dried immediately with a cloth.
To extend the life of our products we apply a natural varnish to highlight and protect the properties of the natural wood.
However, wood furniture reacts to environment. Exposure to light can alter its colour and also adapt its own moisture content levels to that of its environment. In the case of excessive
fluctuations in temperature and humidity, however, it reacts by cracking and warping.

Metal
MOR metal surfaces are carefully made with high-quality finishes.
To remove dirt, fingerprints, and contaminants on polished surfaces, apply a non-abrasive glass cleaner with a soft and clean cloth, then dry off the surface with another soft and dry cloth.
For a better stainless-steel preservation, is recommended to apply a proper stainless-steel spray or detergent.
Clean all metal surfaces gently and without scrubbing to not scratch or damage the surface. Do not use chlorine based cleaners, or substances with acetic or citric acid.

Stone
Stone is a natural material that gives each piece a distinct and unique appearance. It is sensitive to liquids and if they are not removed immediately, they may leave a permanent stain.
For this reason, MOR marbles are treated with a sealer that makes the pieces more resistant to stains.
For daily care and cleaning, it is recommended to use a cleaning agent specifically developed for stone or marble.
Wipe all spills as soon as they occur. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents or harsh cleaning detergents on marble, as this will permanently damage the surface.

Leather
MOR leather elements are smooth high-quality crafted and should not be exposed to sunlight or heat sources.
We recommend applying a mild cleaner once a year, to maintain the leather's natural water protective coat
intact and its smoothness.
For cleaning is recommended an appropriated leather cleaner in foam or liquid form, avoiding rubbing or pressure too hard and clean the entire surface, do not spot clean.
Superficial dirt must be removed with a damp soft cloth, as to remove stains and in soiled spots should be applied a nonabrasive soap solution with a clean and a wet sponge.
Clean well and let air dry. Do not apply direct water or wash grease spots. Do not use saddle soap, cleaning abrasive solvents, oils, furniture or shoe polishes, varnishes, detergents, or other aggressive substances.
If stains remains or soiled areas persists, contact a professional cleaner. Remember that leather will age over time and create its own unique and lovely patina.

Fabric
For the care of fabric upholstery, regular maintenance and prompt attention are essential to preserve its appearance and longevity. In the event of stains, spills, or general soiling, clean the affected area as soon as possible using a mild solution of neutral soap (5%) and water. Apply the solution with a clean cloth, gently pressing and working in smooth, circular motions, avoiding excessive friction.
For dry dirt or dust, begin by removing loose particles with a vacuum cleaner, using a suitable upholstery attachment to prevent damage to the fabric.
For articles featuring an Easy-to-Clean finish, we recommend using a 100% cotton cloth for cleaning. If needed, a soft brush may be used to assist in the removal of more persistent marks, always with care to maintain the integrity of the material.
