Christian Haas
Currently established in Porto, Portugal, German born industrial designer Christian Haas showcases a design approach that merges simplicity and elegance. He established his own design studio in 2000 and has been creating sober and useful objects for more than two decades.
The designer developed works for the most recognizable brands such as ClassiCon, Thonet, Tecta, Villeroy & Boch, among many others. From tableware and glassware to furniture and lights, his wide-ranging activities also encompass interior designs for international brands and for companies in the automotive, fashion and lifestyle segments, in a well-balanced combination of minimalism with luxury.
Notable works include the lighting edition ROPES, part of Vitra Design Museum’s permanent collection; the broad furniture range for Japanese producer Karimoku New Standard and some of the most successful tableware series of the past 10 years.
